Scientists have developed a 3-D printed nose that can sniff out COVID in about 80 seconds.
The way it works is the device can smell chemicals in infected individuals, which could be a huge step in testing all across the world, especially in airports, offices, stadiums and more. Professor Noam Sobel, project leader, says “the e-nose generates a pattern in every odor so it characterizes the smell of COVID-19.”
Actually, a couple years ago, Simon Bootsma did a TED Talk about electronic noses that can sniff out diseases where we really dives into the information.
