INFO: The Shortsville Fireman’s Carnival is the OLDEST & LARGEST on going carnival in Ontario County. The 1st parade and carnival was in July 1939. It is still sponsored by the members of the Citizens Hose Co. – also known as the Shortsville Fire Dept. Come and enjoy the fun! There area number of adult and children rides, games of chance and plenty of great food! You should see the fireworks display on Saturday night. Come support the local churches and other local organizations. Don’t miss the parade on Friday night! One of the largest parades around.The parade is over an hour long with bands, drum corps., fire depts., auxiliaries, fire trucks, clowns, color-guards, scouts, dignitaries, old cars, floats and much more! The parade starts at 7pm sharp! Also Friday Night – “The Dean’s List” will be performing. 9 to minnight. Saturday – Ride Special from 1 to 5pm. INFO: Book donations being collected at the Bank of Castile in Le Roy. On June 16th books are given away to the community for free. Rotary wants you to read this summer. Donations kindly accepted to help with the fight against eradicating polio.

INFO: The 1st annual Canandaigua Strong 5k run/walk to benefit The Community Support Center! Come join us along the beautiful north end of Canandaigua Lake on August 4th. This event is to raise money for the services and activities provided by the center, some of which include CrossFit classes, counseling, Journey Through Loss, art events, game nights, and so much more.
