What: Catholic Charities Family & Community Services 2nd annual Blue and White Luncheon- with keynote speaker Doug Emblidge. Proceeds support the 80 plus programs of Catholic Charities Family and Community Services- serving more than 25,00 people in Rochester and Monroe County through the Southern Tier.

Inside Downtown Tour:
When: Saturday and Sunday- September 12th and 13th, 10am til 4pm
Where: Select locations in downtown Rochester
What: The Landmark Society of Western New York’s annual Inside Downtown Tour- featuring exclusive stops inside some of Rochester’s premier buildings and spaces. One of this year’s tour highlights includes First Federal Plaza, with a look inside the Stephens Media Group stations (including Fickle 93.3) and the former Changing Scene Restaurant on top- at one time New York States only revolving restaurant.

Walk to Defeat ALS:
When: Saturday, September 12th
Where: Ontario Beach Park, 50 Beach Ave
What: This 1 mile community fundraising walk celebrates 25 years of progress in the fight against Lou Gehrigs disease with all funds raised directly supporting local care services, advocay and global research. Check in time 9:30am with the walk beginning at 11am.

Over the Edge Rappelling Event:
When: Thursday, September 17th
Where: Hyatt Regency, downtown Rochester- begins at 12noon
What: It’s the inaugural Over the Edge Rappelling event organized by The ARC of Monroe and The ARC Ontario- in partnershop with Over the Edge Global. Participants raise money to rappel down the side of the Hyatt Hotel on Main Street all to support the programs for ARC of Monroe and Ontario- helping those with intellectual and developmental disabilites live independent lives.

Blood Crisis! Red Cross Needs Your Blood Now:

What: The American Red Cross is in the middle of one of its worst blood donation shortages ever. For only the second time in history, they’ve declared a “national blood crisis,” dropping to a four year summer low. All blood types are needed now- especially type O. Anyone who donates through the month of August will get a free $20 Amazon gift card.
